Kiyosato Plateau is a highland in the Yamanashi Prefecture. The climate is cool in summer. So there is famous as the summer resort. Many beautiful mountains and tourist attractions are there.
Kiyosato was uninhabited until becoming 1909 years. People who lived in the construction ground in the dam in Tokyo moved as land of taking the place and it has lived when becoming 1938 years. When they felt the severity of the development of ground in Kiyosato, life became more painful. Because Japan became a war age. There were two people who had led them at that time. The first person is Yasuike Okio. He refused the promotion as the government official, used his wealth, and helped reclamation. The second person is a Paul Rusch that came from Kentucky, the United States. He was a good leader who became a bridge in the inside and Japan-U.S. of a sad war and helped development. The vast ranch from which he reclaimed is a tourist spot of the name of Seisen dormitory now.
Use the center expressway from Tokyo interchange to Sudama I.C, Nagasaka I.C, Obuchizawa I.C by a car.(90 minutes)
Take the Koumi line from Obuchizawa station or Sakuho station to Kiyosato station.(The Koumi line stretches 78.9km through the mountains with a total of 31 stations in Yamanashi.)
