Hiligaynon or more known as Illongo is spoken in the Western Visayas region as well as in South Cotabato in Mindanao, in the Philippines. It is a part of the family of Visayan languages. The language contains much of Spanish loanwords. It is also known as Illongo because much of the speaker originate in the province of Iloilo and has a total of 11 million speakers making it the 3rd most spoken native language in the Philippines.
