Hiligaynon or more known as Illongo is spoken in the Western Visayas region as well as in South Cotabato in Mindanao, in the Philippines. It is a part of the family of Visayan languages. The language contains many Spanish loanwords. It is also known as Illongo because many of its speakers originate in the province of Iloilo. Hiligaynon is spoken by 11 million people, making it the 3rd most spoken native language in the Philippines.
Spanish numbers are commonly used than Illongo numbers.
The days are derived from Spanish.
