Hexham is a historic market town in Northumberland, UK. Get in There is a railway that connects Hexham with Newcastle upon Tyne and Carlisle. Bus routes 685 (Carlisle to Newcastle) and 602 (Hexham to Newcastle) also connect Hexham with these two cities, from which you can reach anywhere else in Britain. The A69 is the main road for getting to Hexham and also connects to Newcastle and Carlisle. The A68, from Darlington to Edinburgh, intersects it at Corbridge. The nearest airport is Newcastle Airport. Despite its name, it is quite a long way out of the centre of Newcastle. To get to Hexham, avoid going to the centre of Newcastle and out again.
