Cars, etc; Going from Hebden Bridge, take the Todmorden road and use the signed turning circle then join all other traffic by taking the signed left turn at the lights. Bus From Halifax or Hebden Bridge. From Todmorden and the west, change at Hebden Bridge.
Walk. The roads heading to Heptonstall (and, of course, the village centre) are banned for motor vehicles except for local buses and local access (such as delivery vans). There is an exception: vehicles are allowed up until you get to just before the village centre, where parking spaces for cars and coaches are available. If you ever intend to take a vehicle through the centre of Heptonstall, be aware that the street is narrow and cobbled, but anything up to a medium sized bus can get through.
