Haukelifjell have a great skisenter Haukelifjell Skicenter that has a familyprofile. With 4 lifts and a magic carpet and lots of space off piste. There are lot of opportunities for rent of cabins and apartments in the middle of the skicenter. There are a turist information (new this year), small grocery store and a booking office. The small mountain village Vågslid is one of the most snow guaranteed destinations in Norway. You can take E-134 from Drammen to Haugesund/Stavanger over Haukeli and see a beautiful mountain area. If you take the old road instead for the tunnel it would be a nice experience. There is a sign where you can drive. The road is slim so drive safe.
You can find a turistinformation at Arbuvollen in Vågslid. Stop and get some information about the road alternativ.
