Hailar (海拉尔; Hǎilā'ěr) is a city in Inner Mongolia Province in China.


The city was founded in 1734 as a Chinese garrison town, and currently has a population of around 200,000.

  • Ai Shang Kao Yan (爱尚烤宴), 海拉尔区东二道街,发达广场1013室 (From Beier Hotel, walk westwards along Fortune Street to the next major intersection. Turn right into the small lane which seems to lead to a lot more restaurants and shops. Look for AI SHANG KAO YAN (written in pinyin) on the left. Hard to miss.), 0470-3578234. New age barbeque restaurant serving delicious and high quality food at an affordable price. We had Curry Beef (咖喱牛肉), Five Fragrant Duck (五香鸭) and Mushrooms (香菇) and they were amazing. They also have unique cold dishes (wild vegetables 野菜, desserts, etc.) that go well with the BBQ. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a range of local beers to choose from. 10-35 RMB.
