Travel Warning WARNING: Prior to the Olympics in the Ganzi region, and the cities along the Tibet/Sichuan borderline, such as Litang and Xiangcheng there was widespread violence rife in this area, and there was a possibility you could be targeted as a victim. The situation has likely died down now that the Beijing 2008 Olympics have been completed, so the advice is to be prudent.

Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, (甘孜藏族自治州) known as Garzê in Tibetan, is in Sichuan Province, China.
