Fredonia (New York)
There isn't a whole lot to do in the town of Fredonia, but the university always has concerts, plays, open mic nights, etc. There is a lot of public land around the neighboring towns that makes for great hiking, not to mention some pretty impressive secluded ponds, gorges, and waterfalls.
The best places to eat from highest cost to lowest cost are in this order: The Brick Room, The White Inn, Rocco's, Elicotville Brewing Company, Azteca, Upper Crust, The Eastside Grill.
The only thing to do at night in this town most of the time is drink. The town center is packed with bars. Most places have cheap drinks, but the cheapest is usually BJ's. The dance club is Sunny's. The worst bar is probably Muldoon's/Hairy Lemon---avoid.
The White Inn. The place is as old as the town and it is pretty expensive. It is said to be haunted. There is a very classy restaurant and martini bar. This is a great place for wedding receptions, gala events, and celebrations.
