Ekedalen is a small town situated in Tidaholms kommun.
Ekedalen is a very small town with a population of 404 inhabitants in 2010. The town is situated 8 km north west of Tidaholm, 24 km south of Skövde and 20 km east of Falköping. Due to the towns advantaged position of being situated between the three larger towns named above it has become a popular place for commuters to settle. This is also due to the low cost of housing and the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
At the the central station in Skövde you can catch the 303 bus to Ekedalen.
Since Ekedalen is a very small town, the best way to get around is on foot or by bike but the 303 bus line will take you to which ever part of Ekedalen you wish to visit.
There are numerous bus stops situated in Ekedalen and from each of the bus stops you can catch the 303 bus to either Skövde or Tidaholm. It may also be worth exploring some of the other villages in the local area such as Kungslena, Varv, Hömb and Dimbo. They are rich in natural beauty and history.
