Fast CarFerry from Zealand or with bus connection from Copenhagen.Total travel time 3 hours. Air from Copenhagen to Tirstrup airport near Århus city. Reached by car with a short detour from main highway between Århus and Ålborg.

Get around

All attractions in the old part of town can be reached on foot

Restored battle frigate Jylland, largest wooden ship in the world. Located in a large marine centre,renovating and displaying historic vessels. Tiny city hall from 17th.century now a museum. Farvergården, the old dye work. Glass museum/ Glass Art Exhibition, is also part of the marine complex Of note in this charming town, are the cobblestoned streets and stuccoed half timbered houses, maintained carefully.

2 good hotels in town, in the 3+ Star category (Ebeltoft Strand and Park Hotel). Hotel Ebeltoft,a 2 star, on mainstreet. Just out of town,5 km. are 2 good hotels, Molskroen and Vægtergården, both well located by the sea and close to Mols Bjerge for hiking and biking. Area may soon be designated by the government, to be a National Park.

Excellent camping facilities on beach, within walking distance of town center.
