Chaudière-Appalaches is a region in Quebec.
La Beauce is a consistently overlooked part of Quebec, but it is an extensive and beautiful region. Whilst one may initially be put off by the peculiarly strong local accent, it is worth noting that this accent is used by a small percentage of the population of La Beauce. The region produces 90% of the world's maple syrup, and no visit to the region would be complete without a trip to one of many "cabines de sucre" or sugar shacks. A large farming industry ensures that the food of La Beauce is of consistently high quality; no matter which of the townships you visit, you can be sure of a good meal. There are numerous oppurtunities for the pursuit of winter sports; snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, skiing and ice skating are all readily at your disposal.
