Cabras is located approximately 7km from Oristano on the West coast of Sardinia. The Sinis peninsular is an important international site for flora and fauna and home to many fascinating cultural treasures, the most stunning of which is Tharros. Beaches in this part of Sardinia are stunning and natural. Is Arutus, Putzu Idu, Mari Erme and Torregrande are all worth mentioning.

Getting There

Flights to Sardinia arrive at Alghero, Olbia and Cagliari airports. Ferries are available from Italy and southern France and Spain.


Agriturismo is available in some rural areas but if you want to stay in Cabras then you will need to rent an apartment. Sardinia Sun offers apartments in Cabras on Via Leopardi. For more details


Celebrity chef Rick Stein recently visited Cabras and recommended Il Caminetto restaurant for their fish dishes. Closed Mondays. There are a multitude of local restaurants all serviving excellent cuisine. The restaurant at La Spinnaker is good but busy at weekends.
