Bolesławiec [1] is a medival town in Lower Silesian Voivodship, Poland.

By car

Boleslawiec lies just off the European route E40 (Polish and German A4) about 2 hours drive from either Dresden or Wroclaw. It is also connected to Berlin via the E36 (Polish A18)

By bus

Boleslawiec is a major ceramic and art center, so there are plenty of galleries and workshops to see and experience. Nearby, lies the historic Castle Kliczkow, now fully renovated and open to both day visitors and guests. Places to visit include:

The Castle Kliczkow [2] dates back to 1297, today it houses over 200 beds, a spa and wellness center, a conference center and a park of over 80 hectares. The Castle plays host to events year-round and includes an unusual horse cemetary. Surrounding the castle is the stunning forest of Lower Silesia.

The Borowski Glass Workshop [3] where you can watch glass blowers creating beautiful and quirky colored glass animals, bowls and art.

Wiza Artistic Ceramics [4] provides tours and demonstrations of their delicate pottery work. Here you can find works from the traditional blue and white Boleslawiec pottery to more modern pieces.

The Garncarstwo Pottery Workshop [5] is located 25km from Boleslawiec and produces traditional, long-lasting and frost-resistant Silesian pottery in huge kilns.
