Blitar, Indonesia

About 200km south of Surabaya, Blitar is a quiet city famous for being the birth place and burial place of Indonesia's founding father, Pak Sukarno.

The surrounding areas of Blitar consists of plantations owned mostly by individuals. The plantations produce rice, maize, sugar cane, corn and etc. depending on the time of the year. Crops are circulated and changed to ensure that the soil remains viable. The soil is rich, due to the surrounding active volcanoes that erupts with regularity.
