Bequia is the largest island in the Grenadines and is part of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Admiralty bay is geared towards the sailing boats that frequent its harbour.
You can easily walk to most places -for example, from Admiralty Bay to Friendship bay should take less than an hour.
There is a beautiful but expensive vegetable market on the main street near the dingy dock. Cheaper vegetables and fruit can be bought on back street stalls.
There are several cafes and restaurants surrounding Admiralty Bay. Including Auberge that does great burgers and has its own lobster tank, Papas with great views overlooking the bay and has a great live music night on Thursdays, also on the walkway around the bay there is Frangipani that does good breakfast and lunch meals and good ice cream and further along The Fig Tree that has 'fish Friday' that is popular. Also at the end of the bay there is the Plantation hotel and bar that does great pizzas and is perfect for sunset watching.
There is a regular small party on thursdays in Frangipani, one of the harbour side bar/restaurants. The local bus will take you over most of the island for around EC$3
