Beddgelert is a village in Gwynedd.
From 2009, Beddgelert will be served by Trains on the Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Porthmadog is served by mainline trains on the Cambrian Coast Line, run by Arriva Trains Wales.
The grave of Gelert (from which the village is named). Gelert was a hound, slain by his master under the erroneous belief that he had killed the master's son when he had actually saved him from a wolf - or so they say.
One track up Snowdon starts near here or you are close to Moel Hebog and the Nantlle Ridge.
