Only 150 people live on Anegada year-round. Get inIn order to get to Anegada, you will have to fly to San Juan, Puerto Rico and then to Beef Island Airport on Tortola. From there you can take the ferry to Anegada which runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at specific times, normally morning and afternoon, or you can take a chartered flight to Anegada via a number of airlines. Island Birds and Fly BVI are some of these. Get aroundJeeps and trucks are available for rent on the island. If staying at the Anegada Reef Hotel or one of the villas on the island, you can inquire about having a rental car available for you at the airport. SeeThe western side of Anegada consists mosatly of a large salt pond sporting flocks of flamingoes. There are miles of beaches to enjoy. It is easy to spend a day on the beach without seeing another living soul. You can inquire about fishing day trips with Lil Bit Taz or at Neptune's Treasure. There is a small museum at the Pomato Point Restuarant which has relics from centuries past that have washed ashore. DoAnegada boasts some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the BVI. Also there are a few gift shops such as The Purple Turtle and the Anegada Reef Hotel gift shop where you can buy t-shirts, hats, jewelry and other mementos of your stay. Eat
