Airport TransferBy preference:
By trainAlgiers Central Train Station - The train station is located near the city centre. The station offers regular services to major Algerian cities such as Oran, Annaba, Constantine, etc. SNTF (the national Algerian Train company) has made big improvements during the last years - new air-conditioned trains have been purchased and new routes launched. By carBeing the capital of the country most, if not all major roadways in Algeria begin and end in Algiers. So, getting into Algiers isn't that hard and is quite easy. However, the infrastructure of Algerian roadways is not highly regarded so arriving by road might not be the most desirable option. There are a number of road projects around the country that are aimed at improving the infrastructure, most notably the East-West highway running from Annaba in the east to Oran in the west, of course coming through Algiers. By busLa Gare Routiere, Algiers's central bus terminus, located in the commune of Hussein Dey (about a 7-10 minutes by driving from downtown), offers a plethora of bus services to most major Algerian cities and towns. It is a very cheap and efficient way to get to/from a pair of Algerian cities. Most of the coaches used are modern and air conditioned ones so the rides are, more often than not, comfortable. However, there are a few old coaches still in service, so try and avoid those, for the ride won't be as pleasant. For long distances as Algiers - Tammanrasset or Algiers - Annaba travelling by plane is recommend due the long duration of the trip. By boatThey are regular ferry services to Algiers from Marseille , Nice , Palermo , Alicante .
From TunisTo get from Tunis to Algiers you can take a plane which is the fastet but not the cheapest way an other option is to take an unofficial taxi to Annaba you can find them parking in the center of Tunis have a look at cars with Algerian license plates (They are yellow) talk to the driver and arrange with him a price to Annaba(Usally 1000-1500 DA (10-15 €). The ride will take 2 hours except long waiting times at the Tunisian/Algerian border but your patience will be rewarded with wonderfoul landscapes. After arrival in Annaba you can take a bus to Algiers (Not recommend) or a plane which is still sightly cheaper than the one from Tunis and will cost around (30-40 €) there are six daily flights to Algiers purchase the ticket at the Annaba airport.
From MorrocoThe Algerian border is closed so the only way to get to Algiers is by flying from Casablanca or Oudja.
