Template talk:Vfd
From Wikitravel Shared
[edit] Usage
Indicates that an image or an article has been recommended for deletion. This notice should be added to the top of the image page or the article.
- {{vfd}}
- The basic format for a deletion nomination.
- {{vfd|user=Foo}}
- To make a link to dummy page; User:Foo/Vfd. Special:Whatlinkshere/User:Foo/Vfd can be used as a list of vfd tagged images uploaded by User:Foo.
- {{vfd|user=Foo|Foo's uploads}}
- When you make a subsection to bunch vfd things on the votes for deletion page (e.g. ===Foo's uploads===), the link on this template should be changed by this parameter to point the subsection you made (e.g. [[votes for deletion#Foo's uploads|Votes for deletion]]).
[edit] add a category and a link
I'll change this template as follows, maybe tomorrow.
- add Category:Votes for deletion
- add a named parameter (user=, optional, username should be specified for value) and make a inconspicuous link to dummy page.
- example: {{vfd|user=Tatata}} → User:Tatata/Vfd
This will remove a file from Special:Uncategorizedimages without adding category by hand and we can see thumbnails in the category. As to the link to dummy page, Special:Whatlinkshere for it will be use to show the contributor who uploaded the tagged images. -- Tatata 07:37, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
