Tech:Wikitravel impossible to use on IPhone Safari

From Wikitravel Shared
Jump to: navigation, search

What happens[edit]

When I try to access either the WikiTravel root, or any individual page sing my iPhone on iOS5 using Safari, pages begin to load, but the url bar flicks between the normal and mobile version of the site, never finishing loading in either mode, and this loops and never resolves.

When it happens[edit]

Consistently on typing any wikitravel.org, or m.wikitravel.org link to the url bar, or following a Google link to the site.

What should happen[edit]

Ideally load the mobile version, with option to return to the normal version.

How to fix it[edit]

Don't know, sorry.

Additional comments[edit]

Have others had the same experience? Can't believe it wouldn't be listed if everyone with an iPhone was unable to use?!

This bug appears to be a duplicate of Tech:Endless loop redirect on iOS causes site to be inaccessible. -- D. Guillaime 22:23, 10 July 2012 (EDT)
