Tech:Unwatch tab doesn't say "Unwatch"
From Wikitravel Shared
Contents
[edit] What happens
This was brought to my attention over on pt:, but I noticed it doesn't work on en: either-- Because the watch tab doesn't change, one cannot tell at a glance whether the present page is on their watchlist or not.
[edit] When it happens
All the time.
[edit] What should happen
Once watched, the tab should change to read "unwatch".
[edit] How to fix it
I'm sure there is a WikiMedia page that needs to be fiddled with. Just not sure where.
- I bugged Evan about this a couple times a ways back, and he was pretty resistant.... apparently there's a lot of other stuff built up around it that makes it a pain somehow? Don't know why.... I think it's the MW default now, but.... I would love it too! – cacahuate talk 16:30, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
- I glanced over username.js, ajaxwatch.js and a XHTML souce code of a page in my watchlist.[1] And then, I noticed a curious thing that the XHTML souce code has no li element with id="ca-unwatch". Ajaxwatch.js needs this id to show Unwatch tab. I guess that some program code in WT's MediaWiki are clipped not to output li element with id="ca-watch" nor id="ca-unwatch". -- Tatata 23:11, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
