Tech:The password reminder (the E-mail password button) doesn't work

[edit] What happens 

Login error:
Error sending mail: error_log(/var/www/wikitravel/upload/shared/debug.log) 
[function.error-log]: failed to open stream: Permission denied

[edit] When it happens

1. Open http://wikitravel.org/wiki/shared/Special:Userlogin

2. Fill in your user name.

3. Click E-mail password.

[edit] What should happen

An e-mail should be sent to the address specified in the account details so I could retrieve my password and upload some images to WikiTravel shared under my username.

Right now I'm unable to login.

Edit: It's not as acute as I previously though. The password reminder is sent. So it's only about the message. 212.186.80.57 15:40, 15 August 2006 (EDT)

  • Enable mail function in PHP?
  • Check safe_mode config variables?
