[edit] How to fix it
If search is disabled on purpose, the error message should be fixed to match. Jpatokal 22:48, 18 August 2007 (EDT)
- Don't "fix" it. The external search is far more powerful and accurate than the internal one, and being able to search directly from Wikitravel using an external search is convenient. I would definitely prefer, as Jani suggests, that only the error message be changed. --Peter Talk 22:26, 29 August 2007 (EDT)
- This message is displayed when the search daemon is down and helps alert us of a problem. The service was restarted when we noticed the problem last week and has been up since. Please let us know if you see the issue again. Thanks! -- Ibkevin 13:39, 30 August 2007 (EDT)
