Tech:Related Template does not work

I tried to use a relation like "Related|%C3%84gypten" (I do not purposely use parentheses in this example) but it crashes. Here is the error message:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getText() on a non-object in /var/www/wikitravel/mw/includes/SkinTemplate.php on line 436

Maybe there is a similar error like in the case of 'isIn' template. Unger 01:34, 3 May 2006 (EDT)

Also in case of my first edition of the bug report, this crash occurs, but I hope I could repair the Bug reports list. Unger 01:40, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
Interesting. I wasn't checking for a particular error with badly-formed names, so it caused a crash. It shouldn't crash now, but I'd be interested to see it work for you. Which article did you add it to? --Evan 07:46, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
I made a test in the German article "Ägypten" (= %C3%84gypten) with "Realated|Ägypten/Orte in Ägypten" or equally "Realted|%C3%84gypten/Orte_in_%C3%84gypten" (= Sites in Egypt) (I have used here quotes instead of parentheses). Now nothing happens -- neither at the sidebar nor a crash. But in the morning (in Europe) I got for all examples including "Related|%C3%84gypten" the error message mentioned -- both at the Ägypten and at the Bug reports page (because I was using parentheses first), you will find my problem in the history of this page. The slash is not the problem I have tested it in another case, and the problem occurs also with "Related|%C3%84gypten". It seems that it occurs in case of using esc-Codes. (By the way, the names are correct and not badly formed). Unger 11:07, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
Yes, I understand. I fixed the crashing this morning right before I made the previous posting. I guess this has something to do with the initial chars -- I'll see what I can do to fix it. --Evan 11:10, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
I do not know if it is helpful. We had a similar problem in the past concerning the RDF breadcrumbs trail (in de: and ja:). Unger 11:14, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
OK, I changed the template, and it looks like it works, now. --Evan 11:17, 3 May 2006 (EDT)
