Tech:Protection blocking registered users

[edit] What happens
I protected en:United States of America against edits by unregistered users because of automated vandalism. On en:Talk:United States of America, people say it is un-editable by registered users.
[edit] When it happens
[edit] What should happen
Registered users should be able to edit this page.
[edit] How to fix it
[edit] Additional comments
At least in ja, fr and shared, semiprotected pages look like fully protected even against registered users ("edit" tab becomes "view source" and "edit" links for each section disappear), but actually they can be edited by registered users. See fr:Cappadoce, ja:リスボン and Category:Page. --Episteme 05:17, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
This is another consequence of the caching mechanism. Everybody gets the same html as the unregistered users and a few user level alterations are implemented in javascript. There isn't much we can do about this in the near term. KevinSours 10:49, 22 August 2008 (EDT)
