Tech:Local spam blacklist - capitalisation loophole

[edit] What happens

Local spam blacklist entries can be got around by varying the case. If spamsite\.com is added to the list, www.Spamsite.com is not blocked. ~ 203.144.143.10 05:34, 1 November 2006 (EST)

Has this actually happened, or is this just a theoretical problem? The easy workaround is to add mixed-caps variations, so if we actually see Spamsite.com we can change the line to [sS]pamsite.com . --Evan 15:57, 1 November 2006 (EST)
It's actually happened, and appears to still be possible, despite this being tagged "fixedbug". Adding [sS][pP][aA][mM][sS][iI][tT][eE].[cC][oO][mM] would work, but surely shouldn't be necessary. ~ 203.147.0.48 10:40, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
