Tech:Invalid Tag Name error

From Wikitravel Shared
Jump to: navigation, search

What happens[edit]

When attempting to add a listing under SLEEP section of the city BOISE, the following error message occurs: "Error Adding "sleep" listing in Boise. Invalid Tag Name"

When it happens[edit]

After clicking "add listing", completing the form, and then choosing "Save"

What should happen[edit]

Listing should be saved

How to fix it[edit]

In a sandbox, such as your user page, copy the section of the template that's giving a "Tag Name Error" from Small city templateto a sandbox.

In your sandbox use the "add listing button" and copy/paste the information from the broken page into the correct fields. Once you have copyed all of the information, replace the broken section with the fixed version from your sandbox.

I did this to fix Trat#Sleep

Additional comments[edit]

I find this happens when adding to "Do" as well.

Is this the same bug as Tech:Listings editor breaks when section headers contain spaces? Riggwelter 16:49, 20 June 2012 (EDT)
