Tech:Editing stats in Subtitle

It's not always clear to readers that Wikitravel articles are the product of a lot of hard work by Wikitravel contributors. It would be cool to see the editing stats for an article appear right under the title of the page, like:

Is this 2 year old request still desirable to anyone? I don't think it's that unclear these days... and can't say I'd like to see more clutter at the top of the articles – cacahuate ^talk 02:02, 28 June 2008 (EDT)

Yeah, I'm putting this old request on the backburner—I don't see a need for it, since you can just skim the article history. --Peter ^Talk 16:52, 28 June 2008 (EDT)
