Tech:Cannot access wikitravel using Google Chrome
Since recently I'm having trouble accessing wikitravel using Google Chrome under Linux (Fedora 15). After a long delay, I receive an error message from squid (reverse proxy?), a copy of which you find below. The site works fine in Firefox on the same OS. The version of Chrome I'm using is 13.0.782.112 (no that's not an IP address, it's Chrome's version number as shown in the About dialog :-).
Please note also that I tried to report this using the standardized mail address email@example.com, which is not a valid address. This is in violation of RFC 2142, Section 5.

- This issue appears to be site-wide and intermittent. Internet Brands has indicated they will look into it. -- Ryan 10:01, 17 August 2011 (EDT)
- Several scripts that I run are no longer seeing gateway issues today after two days of frequent failures, although the site remains slow and other failures due to timeouts remain frequent. -- Ryan 14:05, 18 August 2011 (EDT)
- It seems that the issue has now gone away. I'm now able to access the site using Chrome. Thanks, Jan.
