拝啓
Worshipful disclosure
初秋の候、皆様におかれましてはいよいよご清栄のこととお慶び申し上げます。
In this early autumn weather, may everybody incur increasing honorable health and prosperity, if I may rapturously allow myself to give you this humble statement.
[edit] Progress
[edit] Progress in general
It's been a while since the last liaison report. The Japanese Wikitravel continues its slow trudge towards 2000 articles, which in current form will be hit sometime in early 2008. Article quality continues to increase, with enough good articles now that the DotM was split into featuring destinations in and outside Japan.
[edit] New contributors
Quite a few. Some of the most notable include ja:User:Tatata, a hyperactive admin who (among many other things) templatized and reworked the main page, and ja:User:Shirakawa-yobune, who has written (among other things) an incredibly detailed guide to the Gion Festival in Kyoto.
[edit] Special issues
Nothing in particular. Very much looking forward to the listing editor GUI though, which should then be somehow localized to the Japanese environment. Doing this will be difficult, but it's a necessity to get more people contributing.
[edit] Conclusion
Slow and steady, as ever.
And by the way, the greeting above is an extract from an actual mail I received last week...
