You must pay for using the motorways in Austria. There are no pay-stations like in most other countries, but a sticker that you place on the front window of your car. There are signs like this one telling you where they sell those stickers. Driving without and being caught means hefty fines. Photo taken by me in summer 2003. Use freely.
