This is the SVG file that was used to create Image:Guangzhou_west.png and Image:Guangzhou_east.png.

Steps I used to create the PNGs:

open the SVG file in Inkscape
export the whole drawing with 400.00 dpi
open the resulting PNG file in Gimp
create a fixed size (2480x2480 pixels) selection (legend boxes are good points)
crop the image
convert it to 8-bit indexed bitmap and do not use dithering (this is important in order to reduce the size of the image!)
save the PNG with maximum compression
