Description

The lift bridge in Fairport, New York that carries Main Street (State Route 250) over the Erie Canal. The camera is facing roughly west. This is the only lift bridge on the canal that incorporates a slope; the south side of the bridge is higher than the north side. The Box Factory building is at the extreme right of the image, and the Fairport Gazebo can be seen behind the bridge control tower on the left.
