[edit] Special issues
- Hans M's brain child for a German Wikitravel fork called Wikivoyage [1] is finally up and running. It's looking healthy too.
- Personally, I'd appreciate any information DerFussi or Hans could give us about their goals for Wikivoyage and if they wanted any collaboration and cooperation from not only the DE Wikitravel, but the whole of the Wikitravel community too. Thanks in advance. -- Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 03:50, 11 December 2006 (EST)
[edit] Conclusion
Slow, but steady progress.
[edit] Comments
Thanks for mentioning and linking to wikivoyage.org. A little correction: It's not Hansm's project, but the project of the association "Wikivoyage e.V.", registered at the German authorities. I'm just the chairman. We hope to collaborate closely with Wikitravel. -- Hansm 03:53, 11 December 2006 (EST)
- I know it's not your's per se. I'll use "brain child" instead. -- Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 03:56, 11 December 2006 (EST)
- Well "brain child" is OK. It is one of the important differences to Wikitravel that no natural person has got any personal propertiy at Wikivoyage. The project Wikivoyage, the domains and everything else is property of the Wikivoyage e.V. that itself is bound to our statutes which only can be changed by a majority of the association's members.
- We do hard efforts in providing some more detailed information also in English, but at the moment, there are many important things to do. So long, I recommend the Fork FAQ which has been written in consensus with most of the association's members. We hope that we will be able to extend the English informations on our General: Wiki soon.
