[edit] Progress

[edit] Progress in general

It's been precisely three months since we set off on our quëst tö liberälly sprinklë umlauts äll över Wikiträvël and fill it with words like matkasanakirjapohjan, lentopassituotteensa and halpalentoyhtiökäsite, and all in all the Finnish version has gotten off to a decent start. As I type this there are 181 articles, all created by hand, and while most are very stubby there are a couple with significant content (eg. fi:Helsinki, fi:Japani). The key guidelines have been translated, although a lot of work remains to be done.

[edit] New contributors

Quite a few people have trekked in from fi-Wikipedia to contribute, a cheeringly large number on a semi-regular basis. We haven't managed to find a new admin yet though.

[edit] Focus during the next month

More work on translating the policies and guidelines. Also, Finnish Wikipedia needs to start getting interlinked to fi-wikitravel.

[edit] Special issues

None.

[edit] Conclusion

Hiljaa hyvä tulee, or "good things come slowly", as the Finns say.
