[edit] Correct names
Hawkes's Bay is not one of the correct names and never was.
Hawke's Bay is the older term, still used by many organisations, including officially-named local authorities, and likely to continue indefinitely in relation to the land around the bay.
Hawke Bay is the official name of the bay itself, following the NZ Geographic Board's policy of removing possessives when they mean little or nothing.
