My partner and i are traveling around europe for 10+weeks starting may. what is the best option for getting around traveling most of med. and cont. Europe?, have looked at trains but they will cost us £405 each per month we are looking at about 12 os so countries and travel within them. also wanted to ask about budget for the trip can we do it for £100 per day or is this to little??

Cheers Tim

See our travel guide. It's very possible to get by on £100 a day, depending on your standards and expectations from a variety of things such as: accommodation, food, and partying. If you don't want to stay in a hostel the next level up will be at least €50 or so, and depending if you use fresh markets to your advantage food costs could be around €15 - €30. If you go to tourist bars expect to pay a premium for a beer. If you go out of you way to mingle with the locals you're likely to score on two levels - one you meet the locals, two - the cost isn't outrageous. Use free days at museums and such to your advantage and that'll reduce costs too. -- Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 16:08, 14 February 2007 (EST)
