Hi, my given name is Michele Ann Jenkins Prodromou and I'm one of the two founders of Wikitravel. I try to put my travel & writing experience to good use contributing to Wikitravel guides and apply my professional background in web publishing and information management in developing policies and guidelines. I also contribute behind-the-scenes writing extensions and maintenance scripts.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and Oahu, Hawaii and graduated from UCSC in Santa Cruz, California.

Since then I've lived in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, Geneva, Switzerland and Lisbon, Portugal. Over the last few years I've been to 30 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa.

Currently I'm a part-time information/knowledge management consultant and full time mama to a 1 year old girl (yes, that's one-and-a-half times) and living in Montreal, Canada. Lately, I've been doing more cross-country trips than round-the-world ones...
