[en] "Today's log" changes

I've changed the "today's log" feature on Wikitravel so it uses a new special page, Special:Todayslog. The old way had some problems with caching, and the "right" day wasn't always returned. I think this should help that.

The MediaWiki:logbooktitle message sets the format of the logbook page title, with some parameters: $1 = standard formatted date, $2 = year, $3 =month number, $4 = day of month, $5 = month name (long) $6= month name (short). I wanted to get your opinion on an important issue for Wikitravel.

We want to stimulate contributions to non-English Wikitravel versions by putting all the language versions on a more equal footing. So we will make shared: the center for coordinating all Wikitravel versions, and en: will become "just another" version.

Technical issues (bug reports, feature requests, announcements) and language coordination (language expeditions, go-between reports) and other discussions that affect all Wikitravellers will happen on shared:.

Hi! So, I've tried to fix the problem you were having with deleting and protecting pages. Please do a full refresh of a page (Control + Reload or Shift + Reload) to make sure you have the new JavaScript code. Then try to delete or protect some page. Hi, I see you moves some maps from Shared:Category:Südafrika to Shared:Category:South_Africa. I can understand your reasoning for this, but I would like to ask that we keep Südafrika for a short while. We are busy translating some of the maps from English to German and need a place to put them for easy access. Shared:Category:South_Africa is a bit to busy for this. Thank you for your message. Well, I read Wikitravel Shared:Bureaucrats and (maybe) I can understand what the Bureaucrat means. I have one question. Could you tell me the meaning of the "you can make people admins yourself"? Does it mean that I can get some sort of additional (technical) functions if I become a bureaucrat? I think our current way of choosing admin (i.e. voting system) is better and I would rather respect it...

DorganBot

言語間リンクを整備するためのボットで、ようやく英語版で承認されて昨夜より活動を開始したようです。WPとDmozと言語間リンクの上に移動してしまうなど今のところ編集内容に少し問題がありますが、最近更新したページでボットの編集として隠したり表示したり切り替えができるよう、botに設定して下さい。user rightsの変更なので、会話ページでのやりとりだけでなく、一応Wikitravel:スクリプト登録依頼で依頼する形にしました。もし操作等で不明な点があれば、英語版でuser rightsの変更を行ったJpatokalさんにお尋ねになるといいのではないかと思います（私は全く分かりませんので...）。宜しくお願いします。 -- Tatata 2007年11月2日 12:14 (JST)
