Zamość [1] is the town in Lublin (voivodship), in Poland. It is one of the nicest Renaissance towns in Europe, and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Get in[edit]

By plane[edit]

There is an international airport in the near town of Rzeszow, but more flights come to Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport. [2]

By train[edit]

As of 2012, Zamość is served by several local trains (nearest bigger city Lublin) as well as a daily long-distance TLK from/to Zielona Gora.

By bus[edit]

By car[edit]

You can easily get there by car from Lublin via E372.

  • Town Hall - one of the most beautiful Renaissance town halls in Europe.
  • Market square surrounded by old colourful houses. Next to the town hall there is a row of colourful Armenian houses (in the past they were owned by the Armenians).
  • Rotunda Zamojska - the Museum of Zamość Martyrology - do not miss the chance to see it, especially the little chapel
  • Cathedral
