Xiaogan (孝感; Xiàogǎn) is a city in northwest Hubei Province, central China.
Xiaogan Intercity Railway(孝汉城际铁路). This train starts in Wuhan and ends in Xiaogan with nine stops in between. First class seats cost 24rmb and second class seats cost 20rmb. Time is around 45 minutes.
Xiaogan has 17 bus routes. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,15,16,17,19,22. The prices for one person are as follows:
Dong Yong Park(董永公园). Named after a famous story about two lovers.
Xiaogan Rice Wine Hall(孝感米酒馆）. Xiaogan is most famous for it's rice wine or 米酒. This is not the same as 白酒 found in the rest of China. It only has a small alcohol percentage and has bits of rice in it. At the Xiaogan Rice Wine Hall a lot of different types can be purchased. The first floor is a cafeteria where certain dishes containing rice wine such as paste soup with rice wine(糊汤米酒）can be purchased.
Xiaogan, like most of Hubei, has numerous restaurants selling hot dry noodles(热干面）. Most places sell it for 8rmb. Xiaogan has other noodle options such as the Happy Cow Noodle Shop(牛牛乐面粉馆). This is a very famous noodle shop where their hand made noodles(手工面) sell out quickly, usually before 10am. Go early to avoid lines.

Xiaogan has multiple train stations with high speed rail service to numerous cities such as Beijing, Kunming, Guangzhou, Dalian, Fuzhou, Harbin, Shenzhen, Lanzhou, and Urumqi to name a few. During Chinese New Year tickets should be purchased in advance as many trains to major cities sell out weeks before.
