Wrexham is a town in North Wales, with a population of approximately 130,000. It was formerly mainly an industrial town with coal mining and brick making as the main industry, but employment has broadened in recent years.

Wrexham is accessible by train from Shrewsbury, Birkenhead and Chester. Plans for a rail link to London, via Shrewsbury and Birmingham are in the pipeline.

Wrexham Central station (as the name suggests) is right in the town center, and is very handy for visitors. Wrexham General station is a 5-10 minute walk from the town center.

The train to Wrexham Central station is a fast and useful way of reaching the town center from the surrounding area. There is also an extensive local bus service, with most buses stopping in the town center.

One of the Seven Wonders of Wales, built between 14th-16th century. 45 metre tower with far-reaching views. Mural of the Last Judgement, and other artistic artifacts.

Several pubs have cheap 'pub grub' style food.

These include: the Wynnstay Arms, which has a 2 for £6 menu which includes popular favorites such as scampi and chips, small rump steak and chips, and pasta. Lloyds No 1 and Wetherspoons, both part of the Wetherspoons chain, which have the standard menus for that chain. Yates, another popular chain pub. The Plas Coch, on the outskirts of town near the cinema, which does 2 courses for £6 or so on weekdays from 12 - 5.

Most bars are situated on High Street, Town Hill and Brook Street. Some of the more popular bars include Lloyds, Bar Cuprum, Golden Lion, Yates, Milliners, Harveys, Fat Cat Cafe Bar, Chequers, Bar 1-5, Barracuda, Yales Cafe/Bar, Honky Tonks, the Commercial, The Cambrian Vaults, South Central, Chicago Rock Cafe.
