Wikitravel talk:How to upload files
From Wikitravel
Okay, maybe I'm an idiot, but I was just working on some map symbols, and I can upload the raster (png) just fine, but when I go to upload the vector (svg) the upload page returns that "".svg" is not a recommended image file format" and won't upload it. Obviously, there are already some svg files on the server, so there must be some way around this, but I can't figure it out. -Neil C 02:32, 31 Aug 2004 (EDT)
- The normal way, except it's busted right now. There's a conversation about it on Wikitravel:Bug reports -- Mark 08:05, 31 Aug 2004 (EDT)
[edit] Wikimedia Commons
Is there any way to link to an image on Wikimedia Commons, rather than copy the image here? --66.167.135.37 15:54, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
[edit] how to rename image
> type a name (no spaces please) that's descriptive
I wonder how can I rename shared:Image:184156380.jpg into Image:DenisYurkin.jpg. Move doesn't work for me:
- Source or destination title is of a special type; cannot move pages from and into that namespace.

[edit] Redirected to shared
I removed the merge template and just redirected to shared:How to upload files, since any information here that differed from the policy there was outdated. --Peter Talk 19:37, 12 December 2008 (EST)
