Wikitravel:Mirrors
From Wikitravel
This is a list of some known Wikitravel mirrors, with comments on their implementation.
- http://www.travature.com - A manual fork from Wikitravel Content. Wiki style travel guides (with categorization, Google Map and Flickr Integration). Also integrates with: Flights Searches, Restaurant Reviews, and Travel Mashups. Provides XML Data Dump of Guides. Ads supported. License notification on footer and attribution linked to a separate page.
- http://www.coroner.pl/travel/en/ - Mirrors 10 language versions - non-compliant redistribution, no author attribution
- http://www.did-you-mean.com/travel/ - non-compliant redistribution, no author attribution
- http://e-journey.net - English wikitravel circa 2005. Attribution OK
- http://e-reise.ch - German wikitravel circa 2005. Attribution OK
- http://e-voyage.fr - French wikitravel circa 2005. Attribution OK, but does not comply with Wikitravel:Terms of use - attempts (unsuccessfully) to serve images from wikitravel.org for inclusion in e-voyage.fr pages
- http://www.imakoopedia.org - non-compliant redistribution, incomplete author attribution; calls Wikitravel users "Imakoopedia users". License notification OK. Doesn't link back to Wikitravel articles for editing. On the upside, has a fancy rave logo.
- http://www.insidertourist.com - WikiTravel articles with advertisements. Not a wiki. License notification and attribution.
- http://www.maxtravelz.com - non-compliant redistribution, no author attribution (except for main page)
- http://www.ooaj.com - A fast copy with random travel link at the bottom page, hotel reservation near table of content menu. Providing hard link to wikitravel and other sites, can't edit it.
- http://www.paganel.eu - Wikitravel snapshot with guide books links and a related Flickr photostream import. Ads supported. License notification and attribution are OK.
