We get a lot of external link adds to inappropriate places. Assuming good faith.... maybe some of these adds are fairly innocent. It'd be nice to ensure that people know the External Link policy exists before adding a link. We've used HTML comments as communications to editors in the past with some success. Would it make sense to add an HTML comment to the templates just after the External Links header? -- Colin 14:38, 12 Jun 2004 (EDT)

Please check the external links policy

before adding links here.
