Bemowo[1] is a district of Warsaw. The name comes from Józef Bem. Bemowo is further divided into Bemowo-Lotnisko, Boernerowo, Chrzanów, Fort Bema, Groty, Górce, Jelonki and Osiedle Przyjaźń.
Fortifications that consituted the Warsaw Fortress in the 19th century. Four of them were preserved, these are: Fort IV Chrzanów, Fort III Blizne (Groty), Fort IIA Radiowo (Babice), Fort P (Parysów) Bema. [2] (PDF, in Polish)
Transatlantic Radio Exchange (Transatlantycka Centrala Radiotelegraficzna), or rather ruins thereof [3] (in Polish). The twin object in Grimeton, Sweden is still preserved [4].
