Valença is a town in Bahia, northeastern Brazil. It is mostly visited by tourists who take the boat to go to Morro de Sao Paulo. If you happen to hit the town on a Saturday night, you might as well stay for some genuine Brazilian partying, as the days are mostly all the same out on the island.

• There are slow (cheap) and fast boats leaving several times daily for Morro de Sao Paulo
