Val d'Isere[1] is a city in Savoie in France.

The nearest airports are Geneva (3hrs), Lyon (2.5hrs), Grenoble (2.5hrs) and Chambery (1.5hrs). In the winter months there are direct bus services operating from these airports to resort (do make sure that you check the timetables before booking flights) but in the summer it is more complicated and can involve train journeys with multiple changes.

Once you're here - there is a great free bus service operating around the resort until 8PM after which it is every half hour.

In the Winter - ski, ski, ski! Skiers and boarders alike flock to this wintersports resort for the amazing on and off piste terrain.

Loads of great shops full of ski and board clothing & hardwear - think Quiksilver, DC, Peak Performance, Nike ACG among others! If you're renting kit the only place to go is Snowberry.

Loads of different restaurants - most feature the local specialities of fondue, raclette and braserade.
