[edit] Welcome
Wow! Thanks for all your contributions to Turkey. I guess we're a little late with the official welcome, but here goes:
Hello Vidimian! Welcome to Wikitravel.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If I can be of any help, don't hesitate to ask. -- OldPine 19:55, 12 February 2008 (EST)
Thank you. I've been reading Wikitravel for a long time but I've recently started writing seriously. I guess I can find out how to do but thanks for your suggestions anyway.--Vidimian 20:38, 12 February 2008 (EST)
- Great work on Turkey, keep it up! I look forward to using it in July. Jpatokal 07:58, 26 March 2008 (EDT)
- Thank you. I hope you'll find it useful and enjoy your trip. --Vidimian 08:01, 26 March 2008 (EDT)
[edit] Thanks!
Thanks for all of your cleanups and updates to add Template:isPartOf and WikiPedia links. One tip - Template:isPartOf is preferred to Template:isIn since it doesn't require any escaping, meaning that something like {{isPartOf|South (United States of America)}} is totally valid. -- Ryan • (talk) • 20:44, 19 February 2009 (EST)
- No problem! I just happen to have some free time. I prefer isin over ispartof just because it's shorter and quicker to type, but I'll try to use ispartof more often from now on.--Vidimian 20:48, 19 February 2009 (EST)
[edit] Central Anatolia borders
If we need to define the borders more clearly for Central Anatolia before getting the map finished, then lets do so! Is there a discussion started already? --Peter Talk 00:16, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
- There will be one in a minute or two. I need some time to put it clearly in English.--Vidimian 00:54, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
[edit] Turkey regions map
Hey, I finally finished that regions map for Turkey! Do you have any suggestions for improvements? Roads to be added/removed, cities that should be displayed, etc. --Peter Talk 00:43, 8 June 2009 (EDT)
- I think it's pretty much OK. I especially liked your selection of "other destinations" - may Ephesus and Pamukkale added as other destinations too if they won't clutter the map? D400 -the highway running along the Med coast- may also be added, it possesses some touristical importance and right now it looks like there is no major highway along the length of a third of that coast. Just adding a line along the coast would do that fine. And there is a typo at Doğebeyazıt - it should be Doğubeyazıt.--Vidimian 04:59, 8 June 2009 (EDT)
